This hand-painted tile mosaic map of Ciminna stands right outside of the church of San Vito, as seen in this post. 

It's an interesting overview of the town, listing all the top sights of Ciminna.  It is of note that there are more churches in Ciminna than bars.  Did you already check out my post on religion in Italy and the shrines of Ciminna?

While we were admiring the view from San Vito, a man approached us and started telling us the history of Ciminna.  Rosetta later told us that he was a teacher (the town is small enough that everyone knows each other).  He told us how Ciminna is very old; it appeared on ancient maps depicting trade routes.  He also explained that the name "Ci-minna" signifies nourishment because the land was fertile.
