My mom came to town for a few days in June and we jam-packed each day with as many touristy activities as possible.  Since I'm not from here, I actually enjoy pretending to be a tourist (much to my husband's embarrassment).  My mom loves acronyms, so it comes as no surprise that our time together was dubbed "MDR" (Mother-Daughter Reunion).  MDR also happens to be French texto speak for mort de rire, or, LOL.  My mom now has that in her arsenal alongside another old favorite of hers from my grad school days: "j'en ai marre" (I'm through with this!).  Here are a few photos from our time together:

*Fascinating!  Only two downsides: no photography allowed (including without flash) (and you will be approached by the security guards if you get your phone out while in the exhibit) and you can't get in free with the educator's pass ($15 charge).
