We were in Washington, D.C. last month for spring break. When we planned the trip, I was really hoping for some warm weather and to see the cherry blossoms. The "experts" projected the peak of the cherry blossoms to occur while we were in town. And then, the late spring snowstorm hit. So I ending up getting some more mileage out of my winter jacket and settled for photographing a blooming tulip tree instead of the cherry trees. Regardless, we had a great trip and enjoyed spending time with some family and friends we only get to see every couple of years.
