And now, for my creepiest post yet ... (I really should have gotten my act together and posted this at Halloween). A popular tourist destination in Burgio is the Mummy Museum. It is attached to the Church of the Capuchins. It is essentially a large room filled with skulls and bones dressed to the nines. Judging by their attire (and by the fact that their families had money to get them mummified), the mummies were thought to be aristocratic. More Burgio to come ... The creepy part of our tour is over!
